Steps to register a domain name.
- Go to go-daddy.com
- Register the domain.
- Check if this domain is active by
$ whois myname.org
- Log into go-daddy
- Domain > Domain manager > click on the domain myname.org
- Look for 'Total DNS'
- Look for ARecord @ 121.67.78.99 a IP address,
- Click on 'Total DNS Control'
- Look for A(Host) > Host > Points to > Actions > Edit
- Change the IP address to point to your server IP address.
